Cluster Mailboxes Vandalized

Sometime overnight on Nov. 30/Dec. 1, someone pried open the backs of two cluster mailboxes, one on Ashridge Drive and one on the corner of Cardiff Court and Kilpatrick Way. It's unknown if any mail was taken.

Roseville Police remind residents to try to pick up your mail promptly on the day it's delivered, and don't leave outgoing mail in your mailbox overnight.  If you're going on vacation, have the post office hold your mail.

Almost Dozen Cars Vandalized

A total of 11 vehicles were vandalized with painted graffiti overnight Dec. 3-4.  The vehicles were parked on Parry Street, Enwood Road and Shearer Street.  There are no suspects.

Gas Siphoning Arrest

On the evening of Dec. 4, a citizen reported someone siphoning gas from a vehicle in a church parking lot in the 800 block of Cirby Way. The observant citizen provided a suspect vehicle description-a black Ford Mustang-and part of the license plate number.  A couple of hours later, a Roseville officer spotted the suspect vehicle being driven on Douglas Boulevard, and stopped it. The suspect, a 25-year-old male from Pilot Hill, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, parole violation and related charges.

Seven Arrested on Drug Charges, Stolen Property Found 

On the evening of Dec. 1, officers conducted a probation search of a home in the 700 block of Main Street, and found methamphetamine, prescription narcotics and drug paraphernalia.   They also found items that had been stolen from burglarized vehicles in the Los Cerritos and Roseville Heights neighborhoods in September and October.  Seven Roseville residents were arrested on drug charges, and one was also charged with possessing stolen property.

Suspicious Person Alert

A resident of Twinwood Loop reported that on the afternoon of Dec. 2, someone knocked on their door and, when the resident answered, claimed to be a driveway washer. The resident felt the suspicious person was casing the area for burglaries.  The suspicious person was described as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with "prison" tattoos, wearing a gray hooded sweater over a long-sleeved t-shirt and jeans.

Arrest Made in November Home Burglary

During the day on Nov. 17, a home on Sebastian Way was burglarized, and coins and jewelry were taken.  Officers followed up, and on Dec. 2, they arrested a 20-year-old man at his home in Sacramento. Officers are still investigating to try to find the victim's stolen property.

Catalytic Convert Thefts

Sometime during the day on Nov. 30, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota 4-Runner in the 600 block of Berry Street.

During morning church services on Dec. 4, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota 4-Runner parked in the lot of a church in the 1900 block of Junction Blvd.

Mail Theft 

Sometime between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21, someone stole incoming mail from a mailbox in the 200 block of Tahoe Avenue.

Commercial Burglaries:

At about 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 2, an unknown suspect backed a U-Haul truck into the roll-up door of a business in the 100 block of Cirby Way in an apparent burglary attempt.  The attempt wasn't successful, and the truck was driven away.

At 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 4, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a dentist's office in the 9400 block of Fairway Drive. The unknown suspects had smashed the front door of the business, and fled before officers arrived. It's unknown at this time what was taken.

Sunday, Nov. 20

Between Nov. 20-27, someone broke into a house in the 1500 block of River Oak Way and took video games and equipment.  Entry was made through a slightly open bathroom window.

Wednesday, Nov. 30

Sometime overnight Nov. 30/Dec. 1, a home in the 1400 block of Elm Street was burglarized.  Cash, music CDs and other items were taken. There was no sign of forced entry.

Thursday, Dec. 1

Between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Dec. 1, an unknown suspect entered a ground-level apartment on Conroy Lane through an unlocked window, and took a microwave oven and a jewelry box.

Monday, Dec. 5

Around 11 a.m. on Dec. 5, a home in the 2500 block of Julliard Circle was burglarized. The burglar entered by removing a window screen and going through an unlocked bedroom window. Electronics and jewelry were taken.  A newer blue pickup driven by a white male in his 20s, with wavy shoulder length blond hair, was seen cruising the area at the time of the burglary.

Vehicle Thefts/Burglaries:

At 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, a silver 2012 Hyundai four-door sedan was stolen from an auto dealership in the 200 block of North Sunrise Ave.  The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, bald with tattoos on his head and a gray goatee.  On the morning of Dec. 1, an off-duty Roseville officer spotted the stolen vehicle being driven by the same suspect. The off-duty officer notified dispatch, and other officers contacted the suspect on Pleasant Grove Blvd. and Washington Blvd.  The man, a 42-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and related charges. Officers recovered the stolen vehicle as well as a purse that had just been stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Rocklin.

Overnight on Nov. 27/28, someone broke into a car in the 7400 block of Greenburn Drive and took new clothing and other valuables.

Sometime before Nov. 30, someone got into an unlocked car parked on Melody Lane and removed registration paperwork.

On the evening of Dec. 1, a motorcycle was stolen from Berry Street near Reserve Drive.  Officers investigated and located the stolen motorcycle in the 200 block of Tahoe Avenue.  A 35-year-old Roseville man was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.

Overnight on Dec. 1/2, someone broke into a fenced business parking lot in the 600 block of Commerce Drive and broke into several vehicles belonging to the business, taking tools.  A white 1992 Ford Explorer was stolen.

Between Dec. 2 and 3, a dark blue 2003 Honda CRV was stolen from the parking lot of Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Between 11 a.m. and noon on Dec. 3, a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Riverside Avenue.

On the morning of Dec. 4, someone smashed the window of a car parked at a church in the 6400 block of Stanford Ranch Road and took a garage door opener.

Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, someone got into an unlocked car parked on Verbena Court, went into a purse that had been left on the front seat and took credit cards.  The credit cards were soon used in Sacramento.

On the morning of Dec. 5, someone broke into a vehicle parked in a fitness center in the 300 block of North Sunrise, and stole a purse from the trunk.  The victim had driven into the lot and put her purse in the trunk of her vehicle, then went in to work out.  It's likely the suspect was in the parking lot watching her conceal her purse.  Other vehicles in the lot were broken into during the same time frame.
