Mail Thefts from Unlocked Mailboxes

Sometime between Feb. 17 and March 18, someone stole mail from unlocked mailboxes in the 1800 block of Ridgeview Drive.  Someone else found the opened mail and returned it to the original owners. Some checks were missing.

According to Roseville Police, if you have an unlocked mailbox, it's best not to put valuable outgoing mail in it for any length of time, or to leave incoming mail uncollected.  The safest place to mail items is in a locked mailbox or at a post office.  Always have the postal service stop your mail delivery if you're going out of town.
