Mosquito Spraying Scheduled for Friday and Saturday

The Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District will spray west of Roseville on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The area west of Roseville will be sprayed for mosquitos from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District announced.

The area being sprayed will be in western Placer County, west of Down Road to the western county border and between Wise Road in the north and Baseline Road in the south.

An EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in an Ultra Low Volume (ULV) fog by airplane to target adult mosquitoes, the district reports.

This spraying comes shortly after news was released that . They are the first human cases in the county this year.
