Police ID Man Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting

The 35-year-old was killed after fleeing from police when officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Sierra Gardens Drive.

Roseville Police have identified the man killed in an officer-involved shooting Saturday night as 35-year-old Paul Lawson Storey of Roseville.

Lawson was shot and killed Sept. 22 following a physical altercation with a police officer after officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Sierra Gardens Drive.

According to Roseville Police, Lawson was allegedly very intoxicated and pushed a woman, then fled from police. A resident reported seeing him holding a gun. Officers located him in the 1700 block of Tanglewood Lane where they attempted to take him into custody. But an altercation ensued as he resisted arrest, police said.

According to Roseville Police, one officer on the scene feared for his safety and shot the male suspect. The Roseville man was pronounced dead at the scene, police report.
