Welcome to Roseville Patch
Meet Editor Lauren Gibbs and find out what Roseville Patch is all about.
Welcome to Roseville Patch!
I’m really excited to be launching Roseville Patch. It’s here that you will find stories on Roseville news, education, new and established businesses, features on people in the community, sports, events and more.
Roseville Patch is a site for you – the reader. With the help of a team of freelancers, we’ll be keeping you up to date on what’s going on in Roseville, but we also need your help. If you have a news tip or story idea, let me know. If you have an opinion about one of our stories, you can share it with readers by posting a comment. If you have an announcement to make – a new baby in the family or a lost pet you need help finding – you can post it in our announcements to help spread the word.
Roseville Patch also includes a comprehensive business directory. Each business listing includes a map to its location, a quick description, hours and photos. Business owners can claim their listing, which gives them access to post their own photos and update their description. If you don’t see your business listed, let us know.
Do you have something to say about Roseville but don't know where to sound off? Become a Local Voice on Roseville Patch as a blogger. Are you a regular at Roseville City Council meetings, have a passion for living green, a hobby you'd like to share with readers, or want to showcase your photos of Roseville over the years? If you're interested in sharing your voice with Roseville Patch readers, let me know.
There are tons of events going on in Roseville and Patch is here to keep you informed. Our events are searchable by date or area of interest, making it easy for you to find out what’s going on in your neighborhood.
It’s my goal to keep Roseville Patch constantly updated so that readers stay informed about their city.
I got my start in journalism as an intern with Sactown magazine shortly after I graduated from Chico State with a journalism degree. From there I became a reporter for the Roseville Press Tribune and about a year later became the associate editor of The Placer Herald newspaper in Rocklin. I’m excited to be back in Roseville covering everything that's going on here.
