Mosquito Treatment West of Roseville Set Through Wednesday

Treatment will take place in agricultural areas during the day.

Areas west of Roseville in Placer County will receive EPA-approved larval mosquito treatment via low-flying aircraft Monday through Wednesday this week.

The treatment will occur in agricultural areas in an effort to reduct the risk of mosquito-transmitted diseases. All treatments will take place during the daytime, according to the Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District.

You can check out the treatment map above or here.

Earlier this summer, mosquito samples taken from surveillance traps in Roseville and Placer County tested positive for West Nile virus.
