Share Your Memories of Roseville Police Retiree L.A. Daniell

Daniell passed away April 4 at the age of 90.

On April 4, the Roseville community lost of long-time resident and former Roseville Police Department captain. L.A. Daniell was 90 years old, according to his obituary on the Sacramento Bee website.

Daniell served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a World War II veteran. He was awarded the Purple Heart, according to his obituary.

His 27-year career with the Roseville Police Department began in 1949 and during that time, he organized several firsts for the department including a juvenile unit and official internal investigation position, according to his obituary. He retired as a Roseville Police captain.

Donations in L.A. Daniell's memory can be made to two organizations, according to his obituary: the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program or to Shriners Hospital for Children.
