Today in Roseville: Pottery Barn Storytime, A Bracelet to Remember

A quick look into what's going on in Roseville today, plus a bit of news outside of the city.

After a long weekend, it's hard to get back into the swing of things, but we're here to help make the transition to the work-week a little easier. Today, there's a free storytime at the mall and we give you the scoop on a sweet contest.

Inside the Patch:

Pottery Barn Storytime – If you have some shopping to do with the kiddos today, why not take a break for storytime? is holding a free toddler/preschool storytime at 11 a.m. today at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville location. The only request is to get their early as space is limited.

A Bracelet to Remember – Viking Printing Press at Oakmont High School has created a bracelet to remember former principal . The rubber bracelets cost $3 and are inscribed with “Honor a Tradition of Excellence – Mrs. Sirovy.” Funds from bracelet sales will go to the Kathleen Sirovy Scholarship Foundation. You still have two days to get your bracelet – they are selling until Sept. 7. More information is available here.

Think You Can Bake? – If you have a crave-worthy recipe for brownies, consider entering into the Gold Country Fair’s Brownies and Blondies Baking Contest on Saturday, Sept. 10. With entry into the friendly competition, you get free fair admission. Entries are accepted between 11 a.m. and noon at the food court stage. Judging starts at 1 p.m. The fair runs Sept. 8-11.
