Business News: Roseville Honda Motorsports, Life Time Fitness, More

A quick look at Roseville business news, including two big moves for local motorsports businesses.

In this month's roundup of business news, we have news Roseville's Honda Motorsports will be locating a new repair facility in town. Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs will open its fifth location and Life Time Fitness makes plans to open another branch in the area, according to the City of Roseville's latest business newsletter.

Peg's #5 Coming Soon: The 14-year-old family-owned and operated diner is planning to open its fifth location later this year. According to the City of Roseville, the diner will be occupying the recently vacated Texas West BBQ suite at 1950 Douglas Blvd. in the Roseville Specialty Center on the southwest corner of Rocky Ridge and Douglas Blvd. Roseville will be their fifth location, family owned and operated since 1999.

Life Time Fitness to build new facility: The City received planning entitlement applications for a new 120,000 square-foot Life Time Fitness facility located on the northeast corner of Secret Ravine and East Roseville Parkway, according to the City of Roseville. The Sacramento Business Journal reports "the project of more than $25 million would be the largest gym in the Sacramento region and marks the chain's planned entry into California." The City expects the new facility to "create hundreds of construction jobs and upon opening, 200 to 230 part-time jobs plus 50 to 75 full-time jobs."

Roseville Honda Motorsports opening new repair facility: Roseville Honda Motorsports will be locating a motorcycle and motosports retail and repair facility at 360 N. Sunrise Ave., in the Centerpoint Marketplace (between Incredible Johns and 24 Hour Fitness), according to the City of Roseville.

Roseville Yamaha expands with Kawasaki: Speaking of motorsports, Roseville Yamaha at 2014 Taylor Road is now Roseville Yamaha and Kawasaki, as part of franchise deal with Kawasaki. Notified in November, they received their first Kawasaki motocycles in December and are looking forward to the new year with sales and service, according to the City of Roseville.
