buybuy BABY to Open This Summer in Roseville

Bed, Bath & Beyond plans to relocate, both on Galleria Boulevard in the former Home Depot Expo Design Center store.

Baby-gear hub buybuy BABY plans to open sometime this summer in Roseville.

The business will fill approximately 29,000-square-feet of space in the former Home Depot Expo Design Center at 1120 Galleria Blvd., which closed in 2009. Approximately 49,000-square-feet of the space will also be occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond, which will relocate from its location less than half a mile down Galleria Boulevard.

Both stores are working towards summer openings, according to Leah Drill with Bed Bath & Beyond Inc.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. is the parent company to buybuy BABY.

Similar to Bed Bath & Beyond's store layout, buybuy BABY will be divided into sections housing furniture, car seats, strollers, toys, clothing and other infant and toddler gear.

The improvements at this site are estimated to cost more than $3 million, according to the City of Roseville.

The former Expo center will be divided into three “big-box” tenants, according to the City of Roseville —one slot filled with Bed Bath & Beyond, another with buybuy BABY and the last could possibly be filled by Cost Plus World Market.

Initially, the Sacramento Business Journal reported that Cost Plus World Market planned to relocate into the former Expo Design Center as well, but we have been unable to confirm that.

The closest buybuy BABY is currently in Elk Grove.
