Chamber Hosts Business Walk Thursday

Walkers will visit almost 500 Roseville area businesses.

Roseville business owners might get some curious visitors Thursday asking, “How’s business?”

It’s all part of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce’s fourth annual business walk, in which teams will visit about 500 area businesses to generate feedback from owners.

Each visit takes just five to 10 minutes, but chamber members take away big results. During last year's walk, the majority of feedback collected centered around sign ordinances for businesses. The result? The City and county made changes to its sign ordinances.

“Over the past three years we have gathered some valuable feedback by connecting with the business community during our visits,” said Wendy Gerig, CEO of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, in a news release. “This feedback has been shared with the appropriate parties and has actually made a different as it relates to security, and most importantly, signage. You spoke and the elected officials in the city and the county listened – and that’s what this is all about.”
