This week’s Help Wanted found the City of Roseville seeking to fill a few positions within its water and electric departments. Do you have the “know” to find employment for job seekers? Position: Waste water treatment plant operator II

Department: Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment

Duties: Operate and maintain the facilities of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure effective treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater.

Requirements: Must have 2 years of increasingly responsible experience operating a wastewater treatment plant, similar to that of a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade II with the City of Roseville. In addition, must have possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade III certificate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board.

Compensation: $3,652 to $5,139 monthly.

Tentative Test Dates: Oral interview exam will be held on June 25 and June 26.

Position: Power plant engineer/maintenance planner

Department: Roseville Electric

Duties: Conduct performance tests, analyze operating data, ensure facility compliance, maintain maintenance management system, exercise direct supervision over technical staff, direct work activity and assures compliance.

Requirements: BA or equivalent, 3 years power plant engineering, knowledge of electrical of power plants start up, operations and maintenance, valid driver’s license and certificate of registration as a professional engineer.

Compensation: $7,701.68 to $10,321 monthly.

Tentative Test Dates: Oral interview exam will be held on Wednesday June 20.

Position: Technicians 

Duties:  Provide smog testing for vehicles.  

Requirements: Must have no citation and no BAD FPR scores (scores must above .40), valid CDL and a valid EA license.
