If you purchase new furniture from La-Z-Boy in Roseville this month, a portion of your sale will be donated to The Gathering Inn homeless shelter.
The Gathering Inn closed its shelter late-July, but re-opened mid-September thanks to large donations from Wells Fargo, Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health. Their donations were called "challenge grants" and made in hopes that local businesses would step up and help match the donation.
La-Z-Boy Furniture in Roseville is stepping up to the challenge to help.
“We are thankful La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries has generously offered to support The Gathering Inn through a month-long effort,” said Executive Director Suzi deFosset, in a news release. “We rely on the generosity of our community and we appreciate that the Reegos and their staff are committed to helping homeless people to have a warm and clean place to stay at night.”
A portion of sales made Oct. 1-31 will be donated to The Gathering Inn at the end of the month.
“We can appreciate how difficult it must be for those who don’t have a place to go home to,” said Liz Reego, co-owner of seven La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores in Northern California. “And we are compelled to help them receive comfort—physically and emotionally—as they get back on their feet. We invite our friends, neighbors and loyal customers to join this worthwhile effort as well.”
The Roseville La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries is located at 396 N. Sunrise Blvd.
