Sammy Hagar Plans to Perform During Sammy’s Rockin’ Island Bar & Grill Opening

The Downtown Roseville restaurant and entertainment venue is expected to open Sept. 15. The celebration will kick-off with an invitation-only event and a concert by Sammy Hagar.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar plans to make a stop in Roseville for an invite-only event marking the opening of his restaurant .

Hagar is expected to perform inside the restaurant during the “invitation-only” event that will benefit five local nonprofit organizations, according to the City of Roseville. The concert will also be projected on screens in the 200 block of Vernon Street, which will become an outdoor courtyard area during the event.

They hope to raise between $25,000 and $30,000 during the event, that will go to south Placer County nonprofits. They anticipate between 700-900 people will attend, according to city documents.

During the , councilmembers may approve a street closure for the restaurant’s event, from 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 through 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. They may also declare Sept. 15 as Sammy Hagar Day in Roseville and approve presenting Hagar with a key to the City of Roseville.

Representatives from Innova Restaurant Concepts LLC regarding the restaurant's opening could not be reached for comment before this story was posted.
