The City of Roseville has posted nine new job openings.

The City of Roseville has posted nine new local job opportunities and is accepting applications through its online application process.

The majority of open positions are full-time; only one happens to be seasonal. The positions range from clerical work all the way up to supervisorial.

E-Government Analyst II (Web Design/Development Analyst) 
Duties:
 Perform a variety of e-Government (e-Gov) analysis, communication, programming, design, training, documentation, testing and maintenance of public-facing e-Gov programs and systems including: Website, Intranet, CRM, mobile applications, social media, electronic engagement and transparency channels; and to support the City’s “Virtual City Hall” initiatives, goals, activities and objectives.
Requirements:
 This is the journey level class within the e-Government Analyst series and is distinguished from the I level by the assignment of the full range of duties.
Compensation:
 A monthly salary of $4,513 to $6,351 (26 annual pay periods).

Environmental Utilities Director 
Duties:
  In addition to supervision of the divisions of Solid Waste, Recycled Water, Wastewater, and Water, the Director is responsible for the administration, business services, and engineering design and construction activities of the Department.
Requirements:
 Strong candidates will typically possess ten years of increasingly responsible experience in engineering with an emphasis on utility operations, including three years of administrative and management responsibility, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Compensation:
 An annual salary range of $143,878 to $192,810; placement within the range is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Natural Resource Technician 
Duties:
 Perform a wide variety of technical natural resource management and maintenance tasks in open space areas such as creeks, preserves, riparian and the urban forest; to plan, coordinate and oversee work performed by contractors and City staff; and to assist in the administration of the City’s open space and natural resources.
Requirements:
 Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing parks or natural resource maintenance work, including one year of lead responsibility.
Compensation:
Monthly salary of $3,907 to $5,498 (26 annual pay periods).

Police Officer Lateral - One Year of Experience Required 
Duties: To perform sworn law enforcement and crime prevention duties involved in the protection of life and property; and to perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of law enforcement services and activities.
Requirements: 
Computer equipment and key boarding (typing); basic principles of business letter writing and crime report preparation, including English usage, spelling; punctuation, and grammar; basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculation of percentages.
Compensation: Annual salary of $56,232 to $80,972

Power Plant Mechanic 
Duties: Receives general direction from higher level supervisory staff in the performance of maintenance, operation, and repair of stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as gas turbine engines, steam turbines, diesel engines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, gas compressors, air compressors, motors, pumps and other associated equipment within an electrical generating facility.
Requirements:
 Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, equipment specifications, and vendor service manuals; understand, develop and/or complete records and reports as required; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; use a calculator to perform the above calculations; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; work without direct supervision.
Compensation:
 Monthly salary of $4,733 to $6,660 (26 pay periods annually)

Power Plant Operator/Technician II 
Duties: Receives direct supervision from higher level supervisory staff in accomplishing the safe operations and maintenance of the Power Plant Facility; coordinates with Control Room Operator for performance of preventative maintenance activities and repairs; performs as the outside Auxiliary Operator and is responsible for completion of all on-shift operations and routine maintenance of Balance of Plant and Zero Liquid Discharge Facility in accordance with all permits, rules and operating procedures.
Requirements:
 Apply federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations pertaining to electrical generation; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those encountered in the course of work; respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations; visually read and respond to computer-generated data, instrumentation, gauges, readouts and variations in color; operate keyboards, pushbuttons, dials, valves and mechanical-actuating devices.
Compensation:
 Monthly salary of $5186 to $7297 (26 pay periods annually)

Streets Maintenance Supervisor 
Duties: To plan, organize, direct and supervise street maintenance, street repair, and related street construction operations within the Public Works Department; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Requirements:
 Three years of increasingly responsible experience in streets maintenance work, including one year of lead responsibility.
Compensation:
A monthly salary of $5,355 to $7,177 (26 annual pay periods) 

Wastewater Collection Supervisor 
Duties: To plan, organize, direct, and supervise a variety of wastewater collection operations as assigned, within the Wastewater Utility Division of the Environmental Utilities Department; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Requirements:
 Six years of increasingly responsible experience in wastewater collection and maintenance activities, including one year of lead responsibility.
Compensation:
 A monthly salary of $5,747 to $7,702 (26 annual pay periods)

 

Temporary/Seasonal:

Aquatics Specialist I - Lifeguard/Swim Instructor Aide 
Duties:
 Under direction of the Pool/Facilities Manager or Assistant Pool/Facilities Manager, provides swimming instruction and lifeguards; ensures safety of pool patrons through accident prevention, first aid, and water rescue techniques; follows City of Roseville techniques and lesson plans for purposeful, progressive swimming lessons for all age groups and multi ability levels; and performs related work as required.
Requirements:
 No experience required.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $8.16 - $9.92
