Blog: Help A Child Learn To Swim This Summer

Many children in our community aren't able to afford a swim suit and the opportunity to take swimming lessons is even less likely. We want to change that with Operation Swim.

As the warmer days of summer approach, children anticipate fun days at the pool. Learning the important skills of swimming and water safety can be lifesaving. Unfortunately, many children in our community aren’t able to afford a swim suit and the opportunity to take swimming lessons is even less likely. Become a part of Operation Swim and help us change that!

The Goal of Operation Swim Is Twofold

  1. To collect donations of new swimsuits and beach towels to give out to children swimming in their clothes.
  2. To accept monetary donations to help pay for swim lessons for at least 150 kids. For every $40 collected, a child receives a new swimsuit, beach towel and swimming lessons! The Tommy Apostolos Fund is providing 150 swim suits for this portion of the program. We need your help to take care of the rest.
