Blog: Roseville Holiday Events Begin this Week

The weather is getting cooler and the holiday lights on the trees along Vernon Street have gone up. Are you ready for holiday fun? Find out about holiday fun from the City of Roseville!

The weather is turning colder and the holiday lights on the trees along Vernon Street have gone up. Are you ready for holiday fun? Here is a list of Roseville's funfilled holiday celebrations. 

51st Annual Sylvia Besana Holiday Parade
Sat., Nov. 17 • 3 p.m. 

Bring your family and friends out early to stake out your favorite viewing area along the parade route which begins at the triple Vernon St, Riverside and Douglas boulevards intersection. The route then proceeds east along Vernon Street and then turns right onto Folsom Road. The parade ends behind the Roseville Square shopping center.

Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration
Sat., Nov. 17  •  6 p.m., across from the Civic Center, Vernon St.

The free holiday fun continues after the parade with music and entertainment for the entire family. Roseville's Mayor Pauline Roccucci will flip the switch to light the city’s Christmas Tree at 6:30 p.m. The tree lighting will be followed by a visit from Santa. You don’t want to miss this dazzling display of lights or a chance to tell Santa what’s on your wish list this year. Don’t forget your camera!

Holiday Craft Fair & Book Sale
Sat., Dec. 1  •  9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Maidu Community Center and Library, 1550 Maidu Dr.

The 23rd Annual Holiday Craft Fair and Book Sale is held each year at the Maidu Community Center and Maidu Community Library. The event features more than 140 crafters, a used book sale, entertainment and food. Admission and parking are free.

All Nations Craft Fair
Sat., Dec. 1 • 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Maidu Activity Center, in Maidu Museum and Historic Site, adjacent to Maidu Park, 1960 Johnson Ranch Dr. 

Drop by the Maidu Activity Center for the All Nations Native Craft Fair. A Native American opening ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by music, singing and drumming. A children’s activity center will also be on hand. Admission and parking are free.


Santa in the Park
Saturday, Dec. 8  •  3 - 6 p.m., Roseville Sports Center, 1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd.
Sunday, Dec. 9  •  3 - 6 p.m., Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Dr. 

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and come visit Santa in the Park. Don’t forget your camera!
