Know the Signs: Heat Exhaustion, Stroke
American Red Cross has an App with heat-related emergency tips and procedures.
Triple digit heat is once again likely to hit the Sacramento region by the end of the day. To stay safe, area officials recommend residents be aware of heat-triggered health conditions.
According to the American Red Cross excessive heat in recent years caused more deaths than all other weather events, including floods.
In addition, the American Red Cross also provides direction on how to stay cool. There is even an American Red Cross First Aid App available for iPhone and Android devices. The app helps prepare and respond to heat emergencies and other events.
Sacramento City and County officials also recently released lists on how to recognize the signs for heat exhaustion and stroke. They are:
