Please join us for community service! Citizens of Roseville will be working together to clean up and beautify Vernon Street and Maidu Park.
It's a great opportunity to give back to our city and is open to anyone wishing to help, including families with children. Note: Vernon Street WILL be open to traffic while we work.DETAILS for VOLUNTEERS below / 3 PROJECTS to CHOOSE from:
1) Vernon Street...Check in booth at City Park on Vernon & Grant Street (park in garage). We will be laying new bark around the City Center building, general cleanup of the sidewalks arch to arch, washing windows of businesses, and waxing/buffing city park benches, recepticles, tree bases, bike racks, etc. If able, bring rakes, shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows
2) Maidu Park...Check in booth at Korean Memorial (park at community center...carpool if able). We will be creating a new sitting area behind the community center (pulling up grass, laying bark and decomposed granite, and assembling new picnic tables), also will be laying new bark in a large area off Johnson Ranch Rd. If able, bring rakes, shovels, brooms.
3) Behind Maidu Park - fire restoration...Check in booth at McLaren & Outrigger Ct. (park on street...carpool if able). We will be cutting down and clearing out small trees (some burned) to prevent future fires and beautify area. If able bring handsaws, trimmers/pruners (no power or gas tools).
For any project, bring work gloves for each person and personal drinking water.
