Earth From Space – Temporary Exhibit

See the Earth as never before! Earth
from Space
is a
set of amazing artwork from the popular exhibit at the Smithsonian’s National
Air and Space Museum’s Center for Earth and Planetary Studies.

The
exhibit presents large color reproductions of images from high-tech satellites
constantly circling the globe capturing rare views of events such as dust
storms, forest fires, volcanic eruptions and hurricanes. Documenting
environmental cycles, natural disasters and man-made ecological effects, these images
provide clues about the dynamic nature of our planet. Earth from Space is brought to you courtesy of the United States
Geological Survey and the Smithsonian Institution.
