Water Spots Videos Need Your Vote! High School Videos Showcase Creativity, Humor

SACRAMENTO-- From tips for avoiding a "sprinkler disaster" to a recipe for making water using "regular household ingredients" (hint: don't forget the flaked coconut), Sacramento-area high school students showed off their creativity in 30-second public service announcement videos in the 2014 Water Spots Video Contest.

Sponsored by the Regional Water Authority (RWA), Sacramento Bee and local water providers, the contest challenged teens to create videos focused on the 2014 theme: Don't be a gutter flooder: Prevent overspray and runoff.

Nearly 80 videos were submitted. A panel of distinguished judges narrowed the videos down to 10 finalists, now it's the public's turn to vote for their favorite by Friday, April 4, 2014 at www.sacbee.com/mie.
