Crime Watch: Duo Makes Hashish in Hotel Room & Teens Causing Trouble

Duo Arrested for Making Hashish in Hotel Room

At 1:11 p.m. on March 16, Roseville Fire Department personnel responded to a fire alarm activation, with sprinklers activated, at a hotel room in the 1900 block of Taylor Road. Firefighters and police officers found evidence that someone had been using butane gas to process marijuana into hashish in one of the rooms. During the course of the investigation, two people from Lincoln were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing hashish and other related charges.

At about 2:15 p.m. March 12, two 7th-grade boys were walking home from school in the area of Junction Blvd. and Woodcreek Oaks Blvd., when a vehicle pulled up next to them and the teenagers inside yelled at them to "get in". The two younger boys ran away. The older teens in the car didn't follow them or contact them further. The suspicious vehicle was a brown four-door sedan driven by a male (no further description). The passengers who yelled at the boys were described as a black male juvenile in his teens, wearing a gray hoodie, and a white male juvenile in his teens, no further description. The high school youth service officers were notified of the incident.

At 5:15 p.m. March 8, a 12-year-old boy was at Mahany Park with a friend when a teenager approached and asked to borrow his iPhone 5. The teen used the phone, then left with it. The thief was a white male between the ages of 16 and 18, about 6'0" tall and thin, with "dirty blond" hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a California brass knuckle design, and blue jeans. He was riding a flat black "fixie" bike, with a white front rubber tire and a black rear tire, and straight handle bars.

Friday, March 15

Between 7:50 and 10:23 a.m. March 15, someone broke the sliding glass door of an apartment at 1601 Vineyard Road, and took jewelry and a laptop computer. A suspicious man was seen in the area at the time, a black male in his 20s, 5'2" tall and 120 pounds, with short hair and a tear-drop tattoo on his cheek. He was wearing a red sweater, gray pants and tennis shoes, and was riding a red mountain bike. During the same time frame and probably connected, someone stole an unsecured red Mongoose mountain bike from an apartment patio at the same complex.

Saturday, March 16

 At 2:30 a.m. March 16, officers responded to an alarm activation at an unoccupied home in the 600 block of Atkinson Street, and found that someone had removed security light-bulbs and pried open a door. Tools were stolen from the garage.

Sunday, March 17

At about 12:20 a.m. March 17, a resident of 1451 Rocky Ridge Drive checked on noises from the living room, and saw someone climbing out of the window of his ground-floor apartment. The burglar took a laptop computer.

Between 3 and 7:45 p.m. March 17, someone went into a possibly unlocked house in the 200 block of Firestone Drive while the residents were away, and took a change jar and jewelry.

Catalytic Converter Theft: Between 9:30 p.m. March 13 and 7:35 a.m. March 14, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Dodge 2500 pickup parked at a hotel in the 1900 block of Taylor Road.

Commercial Burglary: Overnight March 14/15, someone broke a front window and burglarized a car-maintenance business in the 600 block of Sunrise Avenue, taking cash from the register.

Beer Stolen from Delivery Person

At about 12:50 p.m. March 8, a driver was delivering beer to a bar in the 100 block of Pacific Street. While he was inside for a few minutes, someone stole two cases of beer from his hand-cart.
