Crime Watch: Breakdown of Recent Reports

Roseville Police Department reports reveal items ranging from pricey baby bags to iPads were reportedly taken from nine parked vehicles earlier this month.

Computer laptops and tools also appear to be popular items among thieves stealing from locked and unlocked cars and trucks, reports show. 

Other crimes earlier this month include a handful of car and bike thefts, drug arrests and residential and commerical burglaries. 

NORTHEAST ROSEVILLE

Olympus Pointe:

Vehicle burglary, East Roseville Parkway and Orvietto Drive, near bike trail, Nov. 13, between 8 and 9 a.m. Parked car window smashed and expensive baby bag with baby care items taken.

Vandalism, Olympus Park, Nov. 14, between noon Nov. 13 and noon Nov. 14. Light pole wires cut.

Galleria and Harding:

Auto theft arrests, stolen vehicle recovered, 700 block of Galleria Boulevard. Nov. 17, 2 p.m. Twenty-year-old man and 21-year-old woman Stockton residents arrested on suspicion of auto theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools after reportedly hot-wiring a 2007 Ford Mustang in the parking lot.  Car reportedly stolen from Stockton car dealership.

DUI arrest, Roseville Parkway on route to Galleria Boulevard, Nov. 18, 3 p.m. Driver arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, drug possession and other related charges after police responded to call from concerned motorist.

Creekside and Antelope Creek:

Bicycles stolen, 1299 Antelope Creek Dr., Nov. 10, between 12:30 and 3 p.m. Two bike locks cut and two mountain bikes reportedly stolen on the back porch of an apartment.

Theft from vehicle, debit card fraud, 1299 Antelope Creek, Nov. 14-15, overnight. Sunglasses, debit and credit cards, clothing and other valuables reportedly taken from parked car at apartment complex without any sign of forced entry. Debit card used to make fraudulent purchases. 

EAST ROSEVILLE

Johnson Ranch Neighborhood:

Vandalism, 1751 East Roseville Parkway, apartment complex, Nov. 8, Tires of a parked vehicle slashed.

Meadow Oaks:

Theft from vehicle, Condor Court, Nov. 17, between 3 and 11 a.m. Several power tools reported stolen from rear seat of parked unlocked pickup. Other stolen items found in nearby creek.

Sierra Gardens Neighborhood:

Gasoline theft, 600 block of Sunrise Avenue, Nov. 7-13, Owner reported an unknown amount of gasoline stolen from a tampered fuel pump.

Vehicle burglary, 700 block of Sunrise Avenue, Nov. 13, between 6:30 and 8:20 p.m. Two pick up windows reportedly broken and a laptop computer reportedly stolen from one of the pickups.

Lead Hill Neighborhood:

Purse stolen, 1600 block of Douglas Boulevard, Nov. 15, between 5 and 5:20 p.m. Purse containing cell phone, wallet and other items reportedly stolen from shopping cart. Cell phone discovered later in Douglas Boulevard and Harding Boulevard garbage can.

Stolen vehicle and arrest, North Sunrise Avenue, Nov. 5, overnight. Car rental key-lock box reportedly broken into and keys to a 2012 Nissan Versa taken along with car. 700 block of Sunrise Ave., Nov. 15, 37-year-old Roseville woman arrested on suspicion of possessing the stolen vehicle.

CENTRAL ROSEVILLE, SOUTH OF THE TRACKS

Cirbyside Neighborhood:

Stolen vehicle, 1000 block of Coloma Way, Nov. 12-13, overnight. A white Chevy Silverado pickup with a white camper shell reported stolen. 1100 block of Conroy Lane, Nov. 13, Stolen vehicle found, parked and unoccupied. Tools and wallet reportedly stolen from vehicle.

Cresthaven Neighborhood:

Vehicle burglary, 1100 block of Windermere Avenue, Nov. 14, between 2 and 8:30 a.m. November 14. Car window smashed and backpack on the rear floorboard containing an iPad reported stolen.

Commercial burglary, 500 block of Giuseppe Court, Nov. 16, 12:46 a.m., Alarm sounded alerted police to a business with its door pane glass removed and merchandise including hand tools reportedly stolen. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.

Residential burglary, 2300 block of Vernon Street, Nov. 16, between 4 and 9 p.m., Back bedroom window reportedly broken into and jewelry reported stolen. Suspicious males were reportedly seen in a silver late-model Chrysler in front of the burglarized home. One suspect was reportedly carrying a tire iron and is described as being 5’9” tall and 190 pounds, with long wavy brown hair and a light beard, and wearing a gray beanie cap, a black leather jacket, blue jeans and black boots. 

Vehicle theft,  Cirby Hills Drive near Valley Oak Drive, Nov. 16 and Nov. 17 betweeen 5 p.m. and 1 a.m. A red 2011 Ford Econoline van with ladders on top was reportedly stolen.

Cherry Glen:

Vehicle tampering, 200 block of Irene Avenue, Nov. 12-13, overnight. Someone reportedly rifled through an unlocked vehicle and left behind a case of music CDs.

Folsom Road Neighborhood:

Commercial burglary, 900 block of Douglas Boulevard, Nov. 11-12, overnight. Deli’s front glass door window reportedly broken and cash box reported stolen.

Theft from a vehicle, 200 block of Harding Boulevard, Nov. 11, time unavailable. Purse with wallet, cash, cell phone and other items reportedly taken from an unlocked car parked in a parking lot. Some of the items later found in a trash can behind businesses.

Drug arrests, Maciel Avenue near Marilyn Avenue, Nov. 18, 11 a.m., Police inspected a parked car leading them to a house on Bernice Avenue where they arrested two residents on suspicion of selling heroin. Nearby, three suspects were arrested on suspicion of soliciting drug sales, possession of marijuana for sale and other related charges.

CENTRAL ROSEVILLE, NORTH OF THE TRACKS

Roseville Heights Neighborhood:

Bicycle theft, Barker Hotel, 300 block of Lincoln St., Nov. 12-13, overnight. Securing chain cut and a green and brown Trek mountain bike behind hotel reportedly stolen.

Stolen car recovered, Pacific Street, Railroad yard, Nov. 13, 1 p.m. A foot pursuit ensued on the railroad yard after a patrol officer spotted an unlicensed probationer driving a stolen Honda Accord on Pacific Street. Officers caught the passenger, a 35-year-old Citrus Heights man, on Atlantic Street and arrested him on suspicion of vehichle theft, parole violation and other related charges. The Honda Accord had reportedly been recently stolen in Antelope. Officers continue to look for the other suspect. 

Los Cerritos Neighborhood:

Residential burglary, 700 block of Elefa Street, Nov. 4, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Laptop computer, women’s clothing and other items reportedly stolen. Suspicious suspects were reported seen in a two-tone metallic blue 1980s Chevy model Astrovan. The suspects were reportedly a black male and two black females, one had bleached-blonde dreadlocsk. Police did not locate suspects. 

NORTH CENTRAL ROSEVILLE

Pleasant Grove Neighborhood:

Vehicle burglary, 1400 block of Valley Glen Drive, Nov. 9-10, overnight. Computer equipment, phone charger and other items reportedly stolen from unlocked parked minivan. Vehicle may have been accidentally left unlocked. Parked

Diamond Oaks Neighborhood:

Bicycle theft, 600 block of Young Way, Nov. 10-12, Black and yellow Thruster boy's bike reportedly stolen from garage. The garage door may have been open at the time of the theft.

Stanford Neighborhood:

Vehicle burglary, 6600 block of Silver Mill Way, Nov. 13-14, overnight. Car window of parked car reportedly broken into and a laptop computer, camera, sunglasses and binoculars reportedly stolen.

WEST ROSEVILLE 

Quail Glen Neighborhood:

Catalytic converter stolen,  8900 block of Rising Mist Way, Nov. 13-14, overnight. Parked 2002 Toyota Sequoia SUV catalytic converter reported stolen in driveway.
