Burglars Enter House While Resident Was Home

Police are searching for two suspects who they believe burglarized a home in the 2000 block of Longview Drive at10:10 p.m. Feb. 7 while the resident was home.

One of the suspects rang the doorbell and when the resident didn’t immediately answer, the other burglar forced open a sliding glass door at the rear of the house.

The resident hid, then fled to a neighbor’s house and called police, according to Roseville Police.

The suspects fled when they realized someone was home, police report, but not before taking jewelry from the resident’s home.

The suspects are described as both Asian males in their 30s. One was about 5’1” tall the other about 5’4” tall. They drove away in a late model silver compact sedan, possibly a Honda.

Prowler Seen Hiding in Bushes in Front of Residence

Police are searching for a suspected prowler who was seen hiding in the bushes in front of a resident’s home.

At 1:15 a.m. Feb. 9, a resident in the 2300 block of Aldridge Drive called police to report hearing a loud noise at her front door.

When officers arrived, they saw a male hiding in the bushes, but he ran away when officers arrived.

The suspected prowler is described as a while male, 5’10” tall with a thin build and wearing a black baseball cap and dark clothing.

Suspect in Stolen Car Arrested

Roseville Police arrested a 28-year-old Roseville resident about 10:10 p.m. Feb. 11 on suspicion of evading police, possessing suspected heroin, possessing stolen property, a Placer County warrant for auto theft and other related charges.

On Feb. 11, officers spotted a man whom they knew had an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect was diving a car stolen from Auburn on Feb. 2. The vehicle was displaying two different license plates, both stolen from other cars —One had been stolen from a car in Lincoln, and the other from a car on Somer Ridge Drive in Roseville, according to Roseville Police.

After a short pursuit through a parking lot on Creeekside Ridge Drive, offers took the suspect in custody.
