Placer County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 19-year-old party promoter from Roseville on charges of conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Detectives found that Zachary C. Fischer had planned and organized parties where juveniles were drinking alcohol and bar-tending.
According to the Placer County Sheriff’s department, Fischer was a self-described party promoter and used Facebook to promote the parties. He hired juveniles to tend bar, provide security and serve as DJ’s at these events, which promoted underage drinking, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s news release.
Placer County Sheriff’s deputies found that Fischer had planned and promoted a party on July 16 in the 8200 block of Quartzite Circle in Granite Bay. When deputies arrived at the party, they found hundreds of juveniles drinking alcohol. The primary occupant of the home was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of minors and a second subject was arrested for driving under the influence as he left the party, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s department.
Deputies received a tip that another large party in Loomis was in the works and found though Facebook event postings that Fischer had planned and organized the July 16 party and was planning another party on Aug. 3. Detectives found the Facebook event page and found that more than 4,000 juveniles had been invited to the Aug. 3 party.
Fischer was arrested July 24 and booked into the Placer County Jail, where he later was released on bail.
