Update: Fire Damages Fountains at Roseville Business

The Roseville Fire Department responded to a fire at Article Salon early Friday morning.

A fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. Friday at the , causing damage to two local businesses.

The Roseville Fire Department believe it was an electrical fire that started in the wiring of the attic space at , according to Jeff Carman with the Roseville Fire Department. The department estimates the fire caused $25,000 to $30,000 in damage to the salon, Carman said.

In , which is located next to the salon, smoke may have damaged some of their display items, Carman said.

Aricle Salon may be closed for the next few days because of the fire damage, Carman said. 

No injuries were reported during the fire.

In related fire news, the Roseville Fire Department also responded to an apartment fire at the on Forest Knoll Drive in Roseville around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Carman said they believe the fire may have been started by a cigarette butt outside the apartment. The fire caused an estimated $8,000 to $10,000 in damages to one apartment. No injuries were reported.
