Firefighters Extinguish Apartment Fire in Roseville

The fire broke out at 7:20 a.m. Monday at Main Street and Berkeley Avenue.

Roseville Firefighters responded to a first-floor apartment fire at the intersection of Main Street and Berkeley Avenue in Roseville at 7:20 a.m. Monday, July 9.

When fire crews arrived, they found smoke showing from the door of a first-floor, center-hallway apartment. Roseville Police officers evacuated all occupants from the two-story apartment complex and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

According to the Roseville Fire Department, there were no working smoke detectors inside the residence at the time of the fire. Firefighters installed new smoke detectors in the home prior to leaving the scene.

The damage from the fire was estimated to be approximately $10,000. There were no injuries reported.

A total of 20 personnel responded to the scene including three engines, two ladder trucks and several chief officers. Roseville Police and American Medical Response also assisted in the fire.
