Galleria Mall Arson Suspect Sentenced to 15 Years

A federal judge sentenced Alexander Piggee Tuesday, KCRA reports.

Alexander Piggee, the 24-year-old who pleaded guilty to setting a fire in Game Stop at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville, was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday, KCRA reports.

The Oct. 21 Galleria blaze resulted in about $55 million in damages.

“This is one of the most serious crimes I've seen in Northern California," KCRA reports Judge John Mendez said.

The fire caused many of the shops to close, some of which have not yet reopened.
