Suspect Steals Medication from Ambulance

As ambulance crews responded to a patient, a man allegedly went into the back of the ambulance and stole medication just before 2 p.m. Aug. 26 outside of Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Officers investigated and soon arrested a 26-year-old man at his home in Roseville on suspicion of grand theft and possessing stolen property, according to the crime log.

Man Punches Woman in the Face at Roseville Bar

A man allegedly punched a woman he didn’t know in the face at a Roseville bar on Lincoln Street just after 1 a.m. Aug. 24.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Officers arrested the suspect, a 22-year-old Sacramento man, on suspicion of assault. The suspect’s brother then tried to forcefully free his brother from police custody. The brother, a 23-year-old Exeter man, was arrested on suspicion of lynching (trying to forcibly take someone from lawful police custody) and resisting arrest, and taken to jail.

Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Corvette into Fire Hydrant, Building

A suspected drunk driver reportedly crashed his Corvette into a building in the Union Pacific railyard, severed a fire hydrant, cut a power pole guide wire, got tangled in power lines and overturned his vehicle at 6:42 p.m. Aug. 25.

Police officers and firefighters arrived and found a vehicle rollover on Vernon Street near Dudley Drive. Officers determined that the driver was driving southbound on Vernon Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the Corvette while negotiating a curve.

The firefighter-paramedics quickly extricated the driver from the overturned vehicle, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

His passenger got out of the vehicle on his own and declined medical attention.

The driver, a 38-year-old Roseville man, was cited at the hospital on suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license.

Woman’s Purse Stolen While Pumping Gas

At about 8:15 p.m. Aug. 8, a woman was filling her car with fuel at a gas station in the 8600 block of Sierra College Boulevard when a man reached through her open passenger-side window, grabbed her purse and ran away. The suspect was a tall, thin white male in his 20s wearing a dark gray hoodie.
