• Lead Hill, 100 block of North Sunrise Avenue, stolen vehicle: Between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 16, someone stole a red 1990 Nissan 240SX two-door coupe from a store parking.

• Cirbyside, 1100 block of Conroy Lane, vehicle theft: Between 8 p.m. April 17 and 4:30 a.m. April 18, someone stole a Hyundai four-door sedan, probably using a set of spare keys that was left in the vehicle. The vehicle was found damaged and abandoned the next morning in the 800 block of Elisa Street. Someone had crashed it into a city landscaping area. A set of golf clubs was taken from it. There are no suspects at this time. This is probably connected to the thefts from unlocked vehicles in the same area (see below).

They found that a male who was upset over domestic issues hit the side of the Amtrak building on Pacific Street several times with a skateboard, damaging a metal downspout. The suspect, a 21-year-old transient from the Roseville area, was cited to appear in court on suspicion of vandalism.

• Vineyard, 1000 block of Enterprise Way, theft: Between April 12-15, someone stole the catalytic converter(s) from a Toyota Tundra pickup.

North Central Roseville

• Foothills-Junction, 5000 block of Foothills Blvd., vehicle burglary: At 2 p.m. April 14, a man parked his truck at a fitness center. After he parked he put his credit card and debit card in the center console, then locked the doors and went inside. Sometime in the next 45 minutes, someone pried open the door, stole the cards and used them to make fraudulent purchases at local stores.

•Tip from police: Thieves often target fitness center parking lots. The thief was probably already in the parking lot, watching the victim stow his bank cards. Always take your valuable property, especially purses, wallets and bank cards, with you. If you really have to leave them in your vehicle, then hide them BEFORE you get to your destination.

• Highland Reserve, 600 block of Fifteen Mile Drive, theft: Overnight April 15/16, someone stole the catalytic converter(s) from a Toyota 4Runner.

• Industrial, Interstate 80 and City of Lincoln, stolen vehicle recovered, arrests made: At 3:18 a.m. April 19, a Roseville officer was traveling east on I-80 approaching Hwy. 65, and noticed a vehicle that was weaving. He checked the license plate and found that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Sacramento. When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, the suspect driver initially stopped, then drove away at a high rate of speed, leading officers on a pursuit northbound on Highway 65 into Lincoln. The driver stopped on Wilson Avenue in Lincoln, and he and his passenger fled on foot. Both suspects were soon taken into custody with the help of Lincoln PD and a Placer County Sheriff's K9. Officers recovered a loaded handgun in the area. A 32-year-old man from Sacramento and a 20-year-old Lincoln man were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, evading, and weapons charges.
