Roseville Home Catches Fire, No Injuries Reported

The Roseville Fire Department responded to a house fire on Meadow Oaks Drive Wednesday evening.

The Roseville Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1100 block of Meadow Oaks Drive at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, and had the fire contained within 10 minutes of arrival.

A resident discovered the fire inside a rear bedroom of the home. The residence was occupied at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the one-story house.

Investigators determined that the cause of the fire was accidental and the damaged is estimated to be $40,000.

According to the Roseville Fire Department, there were no working smoke detectors inside the residence at the time of the fire. Firefighters installed new smoke detectors in the house prior to leaving the scene.

A total of 20 personnel responded to the Roseville house fire, including three engines, two ladder trucks, a battalion chief and assistance from American Medical Response and Roseville Police.
