Roseville Mom Arrested Again for Death of Her Toddler

Denise Wilder is charged with child abuse and neglect. Her 2-year-old daughter was found dead at the Roseville home April 4 when Roseville Police arrived.

Roseville Police arrested for a second time Friday evening in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, McKinley Wilder.

Denise Wilder was arrested again at 6:10 p.m. June 15 on suspicion of child abuse, neglect or endangering health under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death. The arrest came after autopsy results released recently determined that McKinley Wilder died due to acute alcohol toxicity and acute malnutrition.

McKinley Wilder was found dead at the Diamond Oaks Road home in Roseville when police arrived around 5 p.m. April 4. A family friend went to the home and called police after finding the child wasn’t breathing, according to earlier reports.

Police say Denise Wilder was intoxicated when they arrived at the scene.

Denise Wilder was arrested on suspicion of murder, , pending autopsy results and the cause of death.

Denise Wilder's 5-year-old daughter was also on the scene when McKinley Wilder was found dead and was released to child protective authorities. Denise Wilder is also being charged with child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death in connection with the abuse and neglect of her 5-year-old daughter.

Denise Wilder is now being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
