A Roseville woman suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a pick-up truck while walking her two daughters to school Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The driver, a 44-year-old Roseville woman, was driving a Ford F-250 pick-up truck on Greenhills Way near Greenhills Elementary School in Granite Bay just before 8 a.m. Thursday when she reportedly hit a 42-year-old woman walking her two daughters, ages 10 and 6, to school, CHP Officer Nico Bonfilio said.

Bonfilio said they believe the driver was distracted and speed was not an issue. The sun was bright and rising, which could have also been a factor, Bonfilio said.
