At 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, Roseville Police Department and Roseville Fire Department personnel responded to a collision on Roseville Road near Fir Avenue.  A 20-year-old woman from Roseville was driving a 1996 Honda four-door sedan south on Roseville Road, when she drove over a fuel spill.  Her car spun into the path of a northbound 2004 International box truck and collided nearly head-on.  Roseville Fire Department personnel extricated the driver of the Honda, and she was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.  The truck driver, a 47-year-old man from West Sacramento, didn’t report being injured.  Roseville Road was closed between Whyte Avenue and Cirby Way until just before noon for the investigation and clean-up.

The collision is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department traffic unit.  The fuel spill on the roadway, from an unknown source, was the possible cause of the collision.
