Thieves Kick-In Doors During Residential Burglaries

A number of door kick-in burglaries have been reported lately in Roseville. 

Early last year, there were several incidents of thieves kicking in doors during residential burglaries and lately, there have been several reports again. 

According to police logs, one door kick-in burglary was reported on March 27 in west Roseville and the other on March 29.

Sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 27, someone kicked in the front door of a home in the 1400 block of Grovewood Lane and took jewelry from the master bedroom. 

Then, at 11:25 p.m. March 29, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a home on Monterey Court, and found the front door had been kicked open. The residents were away, and officers did not locate the suspect. Nothing was taken, and it's possible the burglar was scared off by the audible burglar alarm.

Here's a look at other residential burglaries recently reported in Roseville: 

Saturday, March 23: Between noon March 23 and 7:45 a.m. March 24, someone went into an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Alta Vista Avenue and stole a power washer and several rolls of electrical wire.

Tuesday, March 26:

Between March 26-28, someone tried to break into an unoccupied "mother-in-law house" in the 200 block of East Street.

Between late afternoon March 26 and 7 a.m. March 27, someone pried open a back window and burglarized a new, unoccupied home in the 4100 block of Settler's Ridge Way, taking the dishwasher and gas range from the kitchen.

Friday, March 29:

Between 8 and 10:45 p.m. March 29, someone pried the lock of an apartment at 1100 Roseville Parkway, went in and stole a purse, laptop computer, electric guitar and items of clothing.

Saturday, March 30:

Between 5 and 10:30 p.m. March 30, someone pried the back door of a home in the 1200 block of Palm Avenue and stole cash, a Playstation, a Wii, video games and jewelry.

Sunday, March 31:

At 1:24 a.m. March 31, officers responded to an alarm at a home in the 1900 block of Vista Creek Drive, and found that someone had forced the front door open while the residents were away. Nothing was taken, and it seems the burglar was scared off by the audible burglary alarm.

Tuesday, April 2: 

Between 9 and 10 a.m. April 2, someone entered a garage in the 300 block of Atkinson St. through an unlocked side door, and stole two lawnmowers, three trimmers, and edger and a power washer. Witnesses saw a heavyset white male in his 50s, with long gray hair, in the victim's front yard at about 9:30 a.m.
