The crash was reported on Industrial Boulevard, near Washington Boulevard, about 4:45 p.m.

A 13-year-old boy was struck and injured by a sedan on Friday in Roseville after apparently darting out into the street, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 4:45 p.m. on Washington Boulevard, just south of Industrial Boulevard, according to Roseville police Sgt. Jason Bosworth.

The sergeant told Patch that the boy dashed out in front of the Nissan in an attempt to run across the street, from the west side to the east on Washington.

Bosworth told Patch the car was heading south on Washington at or below the posted speed limit.

Following the crash, the motorist consented to be tested for alcohol consumption and it was determined that impairment was not a factor in the crash.

The accident was still under investigation Friday night, Bosworth told Patch, and the youth was taken to Sutter-Roseville Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
