The state's Department of Finance released a new population report today that shows preliminary data for January 2012 and revised population data for January 2011.

ANSWER: According to California's Department of Finance, Roseville's population as of Jan. 1, 2011 was 120,307. The preliminary data for Jan. 1, 2012 shows Roseville's population at 122,060. That's a 1.5 percent increase.

what she said, Google makes this too easy ... 122,060, a gain of 1.5 percent since last year (and the most growth of any city in Placer County by percent and number).
