Columbus Day: What's Open, Closed in Roseville

Prepare for the holiday knowing what services won't be available Monday, Oct. 8.

For most of us, life goes on normally on Columbus Day, but some government services will be closed Monday, Oct. 8. Here is a breakdown of services that will or will not be available:

Roseville Civic Center will be closed. 

All U.S. Postal Service locations will be closed.

All Placer County Public Library locations, including all Roseville libraries, will be closed.

Placer County offices will be closed.

The City of Roseville Transit Service (buses) will operate normally.

Roseville Electric will be closed. Residents can call 916-774-5428 to report a power outage.

Roseville recreation services like city parks, the Roseville Sports Center and the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool will be open regular hours.

Emergency services, such as police and fire, will be available.

Garbage pickup services will not be affected. 

Retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants and other businesses may have limited hours Monday. Call ahead before heading to a specific business to confirm they are open.
