Highway 65 Resurfacing Begins Tonight

Roseville drivers should anticipate delayed drive times on Highway 65 after 7 p.m. through October.

Roseville drivers: Expect delays if you’re traveling on Highway 65 after 7 p.m. during the week. Crews will start resurfacing construction of Highway 65 from the Interstate 80 interchange to the Pleasant Grove Boulevard exit tonight, Aug. 8.

Alternating lanes on northbound Highway 65 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and on the southbound side from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday, From the Capitol reports.

The California Department of Transportation, or Caltrans, estimates that the construction may cause 10- to 20-minute delays for drivers. This $524,000 resurfacing project is expected to be complete by October, according to Caltrans, and includes grinding out and replacing damaged asphalt and repairing cracks in the pavement.

Message boards will be placed along the highway to inform drivers of the latest information, From the Capitol reports. Caltrans suggests motorists take alternative routes, if possible.
