It’s Official: City to Pay $1.86M to Keep Redevelopment Agency

Roseville councilmembers approved an ordinance to determine that the city will pay to keep its redevelopment agency and move forward with city projects.

The City of Roseville’s redevelopment agency is here to stay, but has a $1.86 million price tag.

During a short special meeting Thursday afternoon, councilemembers read the second reading and approved the ordinance. The ordinance allows the city to keep its redevelopment agency. Mayor Pauline Roccucci and Councilman Tim Herman were not present for the reading.

During the , councilmembers received a briefing on the impact the payment could make on Roseville’s redevelopment, which could put several city projects at risk including Town Square and adding additional parking in Historic Roseville.

On Aug. 8, , to determine if the city will pay to keep its agency. Roseville City Councilmembers voted in favor 4-0 to pass the first reading of the ordinance. Vice Mayor Susan Rohan was not present for the Aug. 8 reading.
