Poll: Agree with Obama's New Immigration Policy?

Tell us if you think he's right to stop deporting younger undocumented immigrants and grant work permits.

Younger undocumented immigrants scored a victory today as President Barack Obama announced his support to end their deportations and begin granting work permits for some eligible students, The Huffington Post reports.

The Dream Act allows undocumented individuals who attend college or serve in the military and are in good standing a path to citizenship. It passed in the House of Representatives but failed in the Senate in 2010.

Nearby, we've heard from residents in and about how the Dream Act would change their lives for the better.

Roseville, do you agree with President Obama's new immigration policy? Why or why not? Please tell us in a comment below.

It intensifies an already frustrating competition for jobs and education for our young people who are legal citizens. A poor decision for just a few votes.

It's quite revealing to begin an article on illegal immigration by referring to illegal aliens as undocumented workers. It's also an interesting turn of phrase to frame the whole thing as a victory for young illegal aliens. Has common sense and logic disappeared from the public forum? This article even says to see how Davis residents react positively to this unconstitutional act. I see only three negative comments there. Maybe they were talking about illegal alien and NYT reporter Jose Vargas who was happy about it? Same with the article linked to for Elk Grove. The subject in the story who is happy about it is an illegal alien. The comments are negative. Lauren seems pretty fair but this article, by "Patch Staff" and the other feel good liberal puff pieces are eroding the credibility of this site in a hurry.

These people will fill jobs no one else wants ie, Bus boys, dishwashers, restaurant servers, car wash towel boys and landscapers.

America does not need or need to save any more non-American people. Our government needs to take care of our own disadvantaged, needy, and unemployed people. Obama needs to create jobs, jobs, jobs or quit! He is a failure trying to toss ropes to anyone that might pull him out of the quick sand.

Nothing wrong with using the HuffPost or MSNBC.
