High School Board

In a race still likely too close to call, two Roseville Joint Union High School board incumbents appeared to secure their seats and a challenger inched into third place, according to unofficial results from the Placer County Elections Department.

Jan Pinney holds first place with 25.5 percent of the vote, followed by Paige Stauss with 25.47 percent and challenger Rene Aguilera with 24.33 percent. Incumbent Gerry Genzlinger is in last with 24.29 percent.

The top three vote-getters will win seats on the board, which oversees Roseville's high schools.

And finally, Republican Beth Gaines secured her win over Republican Andy Pugno with nearly 70 percent of the vote. Pugno had garnered 30.9 percent. The district represents Roseville, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Lincoln and Rocklin.
