Granite Bay Tops Roseville High Schools

Granite Bay cracks the top 100 high schools in the state, according to US News and World Report.

Granite Bay earned a place among the Top 100 Best High Schools in California for 2012, as announced Tuesday by US News and World Report magazine.

Granite Bay ranked 67th on the list. Woodcreek ranked No. 261 and Roseville High was No. 291. Oakmont followed at No. 451.

A three-step process determines the news magazine's Best High Schools ranking. The first two steps ensured that the schools serve all of their students well, using performance on state proficiency tests as the benchmarks. For those schools that made it past the first two steps, a third step assessed the degree to which schools prepare students for college-level work.
