The Roseville Joint Union High School board election was a close one, with two incumbents appearing to secure their seats and a challenger squeaking into third place, according to unofficial results from the Placer County Elections Department.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Jan Pinney held first place with 25.5 percent of the vote, followed by Paige Stauss with 25.47 percent and challenger Rene Aguilera with 24.33 percent. Incumbent Gerry Genzlinger was last with 24.29 percent.
The top three vote-getters will win seats on the board, which oversees Roseville's high schools.
