How to Make a Donation to Woodcreek Little League Junior All Stars

The Roseville baseball team recently became Division 2 champions and move on to the Western Regional Tournament in Washington. The community can help with donations that will go toward travel costs.

The Woodcreek Little League Junior All Stars may have a chance to play in the Little League World Series, but first they're competing against teams throughout the western region.

They're currently headed to Washington to compete in the Western Regional Tournament against 11 other baseball teams from the Western U.S. including Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, Nevada and Idaho. Woodcreek Little League is representing all of northern California in the tournament.

If they win this tournament, which runs July 31 through Aug. 3, they would move on to the Little League World Series in Michigan Aug. 11-17.

Traveling from Roseville to Washington and possibly Michigan can get costly for parents and coaches. That's why they have set up a "gofundme" account, where community members can make a donation.

"The estimated cost to fund the 13 players and 3 coaches is approximately $14,000," according to the gofundme website. "The budget accounts for 8 rooms for 8 nights, two 12 passenger vans, food and gas. All of the coaches and parents are volunteers and this does not account for their time off work to support the players."

In just one day, almost $2,000 has been donated, but they're hoping to raise $5,000.
