Free Slurpees at 7-Eleven Today

Have a hankering for a frozen treat but are looking to save a buck (and a few calories)? International convenience store chain 7-Eleven will be offering free 7.11-ounce (get it? Har har) cups of their iconic "Slurpee," which they are now offering in a Splenda-sweetened, 20-calorie per serving version, on May 23.

To tout its first Slurpee®-branded, sugar-free frozen drink, Slurpee Lite, and launch the upcoming Slurpee season, billed as the "Flavors of Summer," 7-Eleven, Inc. has created SlurpFREE Day. SlurpFREE Day is an opportunity for our guests to enjoy a free 7.11 ounce Slurpee drink between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time Wednesday, May 23, at participating 7-Eleven stores across the U.S. 7-Eleven stores will do it all over again six weeks later – free Slurpee drinks that is – on 7-Eleven Day, or July 11, when the retailer will celebrate its birthday as it does each year.

Earlier this month, Slurpee Lite™ Fanta Sugar-Free Mango flavor drinks, debuted in 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Flavored by Fanta and sweetened with Splenda (sucralose), an 8-ounce Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango drink contains only 20 calories and provides the same great flavor our guests expect, according to Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of brand innovation.

"For Slurpee fans who want to try our new Slurpee Lite drink, SlurpFREE Day is the perfect time to do so," Gordon said. "Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango flavor is a delicious preview of what's in store this summer."

The Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango flavor is only the first of 7-Eleven's fun summer flavor line-up. Typically, limited-release Slurpee flavors are kept top-secret until they become available in the stores. This year, Slurpee fans can mark their calendars so they can be first in line when each featured flavor hits 7-Eleven stores. 7-Eleven's Slurpee summer flavor line-up offers more variety than ever and includes six limited-edition flavors in both Slurpee Lite and Slurpee in addition to popular everyday flavors. The Slurpee summer flavor line-up includes:
