Wells Fargo donated $5,000, which pays for 20,800 meals for malnourished children around the world. The food-packing event will be held Nov. 16-19 in Roseville.

An effort to provide 500,000 meals for malnourished children around the world is off to a good start, thanks to Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo donated $5,000 to event, which will cover the cost of more than 20,000 meals.

The event is made up of volunteers that help pack these meals for starving children.

“Each meal we pack costs 24 cents so this sponsorship will pay for 20,800 meals,” said Kris Glass, a coordinator of the mobile pack event. “We appreciate Wells Fargo’s support – the second year that they have stepped forward as a major sponsor of this great event.”
