Body Found of Missing Roseville Man

The body of Brent Bell, who went missing Oct. 16, was found Tuesday afternoon.

The body of 49-year-old Brent Bell, who went , has been found.

The body was found just before 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 25 near a business near Nichols Drive and Industrial Avenue in unincorporated Placer County. According to Dena Erwin, spokesperson for the Placer County Sheriff's Department, the cause of death was suicide; an autopsy will be performed.

Erwin said employees of the business found the body in a field area behind a fence. The body was found with a handgun. No foul play is suspected.

Bell was last seen leaving his home around 6 p.m. Oct. 16. According to family members, Bell was depressed about personal issues.

Dee Kerr, who organized one of the searches for Bell, informed people of the news on the Find Brent Bell Facebook page. She wrote:

It is with great sadness that we share with our family, friends and supporters that Brent has been found. We are sad to say that he has passed away. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support. We would like to ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time and allow them time to process this recent news.
