Thrifty Thursdays: Borders Books, Barbecue Bargains and More

Here’s a look at the deals, sales and discounts in Roseville this week.

Borders Bargains – With (an employee tells us the Roseville Borders will be open through the end of September), it’s a great time to stock up on books. Everything is 20 to 40 percent off and is discounted mostly by section. Take a gander this weekend before the good stuff is gone for good.

Multi-Family Garage Sale – Starting Saturday at 8 a.m. at 1801 Bottlebrush Circle, you’ll find clothing, home furnishings and a collection of briefcases at a multi-family garage sale. The sale lasts through the weekend.

Celebrate BBQ – In celebration of ’s 20th anniversary, they’re holding special celebratory deals this week. Today’s deal is $2 off any burrito wrap, including a homemade side. Friday, you get $1 off any baby back rib basket, including one homemade side or $5 full rack of baby backs including two homemade sides. Texas West BBQ is located at 1950 Douglas Blvd.  

Lighten Up – Need some new lighting, flooring, or home furnishing products? , located at 372 N. Sunrise Ave., has a coupon for 25 percent off. The coupon is available here.

Home Décor Deals – at the has more than 400 pieces of home and garden supplies, dishes and glassware, furniture and much more at a discounted price right now. Check out some of the items here.

Yard Sales – Driving from house to house for yard sales can work up quite the appetite. Luckily, there’s one family who will be selling cookies and lemonade available while you shop. Head over to 1329 Stonebridge Way around 8 a.m. Saturday, where there will be more than munchies for sale – you’ll also find furniture and nic-nacs.

A one-day yard sale will also be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday at 311 Circuit Drive. A collection of DVDs and VHSs will be for sale. No reasonable offer will be refused, sale organizers said.
