'Journey Unauthorized' to Play During Town Square Opening Celebration

The Journey tribute band will perform during an evening concert in Downtown Roseville Aug. 24.

The band is set, the festivities are planned and construction is almost complete for the new Town Square in Downtown Roseville

A grand opening celebration is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in Downtown Roseville, following by an evening concert at 7:30 p.m. 

Festivities will include a kids zone, live music, vendors and an evening concert featuring "Journey Unauthorized," an 80s cover band. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. No coolers or glass are allowed, but bring chairs and blankets for seating. There will be a beer garden and mobile food trucks. The Town Square will feature a re-vamped downtown area with a water feature, stage, other changes along Vernon Street. Construction started last summer for the Town Square.

According to the city, the project will be named during an upcoming city council meeting.
